Australia Day Boating Photo Giveaway – Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter
The promoter is Boat Hardware.

2. Eligibility
Entry is open to Australian residents aged 16 years or over. Employees of Boat Hardware and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

3. Competition Period
The competition opens on 19th of January 2026 and closes at 9pm AEST on 26th of January 2026. Entries received after this time will not be considered.

4. How to Enter
To enter, participants must:

  1. Comment their best boating or on-water photo on the official giveaway post published on Boat Hardware’s Facebook page during the competition period.
  2. Follow the Boat Hardware Facebook page at the time of entry.

Limit of one (1) entry per person. Only entries that meet both requirements will be valid.

5. Entry Requirements
By entering, participants confirm that:

  • The photo submitted is their own original image
  • They own the rights to the image and have permission from anyone featured in the photo
  • The photo does not infringe any third-party rights

Boat Hardware reserves the right to remove or disqualify any entry that is suspected to be copied, misleading, offensive, or not compliant with these Terms & Conditions.

6. Judging & Winner Selection
Winners will be selected by the Boat Hardware team based on the creativity, originality, and overall appeal of the photo.
The decision of the judging team is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Winners will be selected within 2 days of the competition closing.

7. Prizes

  • 1st Prize: Kingfisher Bait Board (RRP $329.95)
  • 2nd Prize: 3000L Rechargeable Spotlight (RRP $139.90)
  • 3rd Prize: Easy Lay Bridle Mooring Tool (RRP $54.95)

Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.

8. Winner Notification
Winners will be announced via Boat Hardware’s Facebook and/or Instagram page and contacted via direct message. If a winner does not respond within 7 days, Boat Hardware reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

9. Use of Entries
By entering, participants grant Boat Hardware a royalty-free, perpetual right to use, reproduce, and share the submitted images for promotional and marketing purposes across social media, website, and advertising channels.

10. Liability
Boat Hardware accepts no responsibility for any lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries. To the extent permitted by law, Boat Hardware is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in this competition or acceptance of any prize.

11. Platform Disclaimer
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram.

12. Changes & Cancellation
Boat Hardware reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time if circumstances arise beyond its reasonable control.
