Quick Patch – One Step No Mess is a sunlight-activated, self-adhesive repair patch that’s easy to apply with no mixing or weighing required. Ideal for boats, tradies, and DIYers, it’s fibreglass reinforced with polyester for long-lasting, non-flammable repairs on a variety of surfaces.

Strength:  High Strength – (Rated 2200 PSI)

Cure Time: Fast curing (5 minutes), although curing depends on UV intensity, can be up to 50 minutes in Overcast conditions. A UV torch can accelerate curing times. Cures rock hard

Contact Bond: Immediate, Quickpatch has strong adhesive backing

Flexibility: Flexible and waterproof, No shrinkage or expansion during the application or after curing

Paintable: After 1 hour Quickpatch can be drilled, tapped, sanded, and painted.

Water/Weather Resistance: Weather and UV resistant

Clean Up: No clean up, just cut, peel, and stick – finished

Directions:

Direct Sunlight Application:

1. The surface should be cleaned, dry, and free of any contaminants. (No oil or water in particular.)
2. Remove the patch from its black protective pouch and cut to size required without exposing it to UV/Sunlight.
3. Place the unused portion back into the black protective pouch and seal.
4. Remove the white backing tape on the patch material to expose the adhesive resin.
5. Apply the patch – sticky side down – to the area to be patched and press down firmly all over the patch and especially around the edges.
6. Remove the clear/transparent film on the back of the patch and expose it to the sunlight.

Please Note: Curing time is totally dependent on the UV intensity at the time of application – from 5 minutes (sunny conditions) through to 50 minutes (overcast).

Internal or Out of Direct Sunlight Application:

1. Quick Patch is UV light activated so in applications where you are working indoors or in shaded areas out of direct sunlight, it will be necessary to activate the adhesive and curing process using a UV light/torch.
2. Simply apply the patch as per the instructions above and then, once the clear transparent film is removed, pass the UV light/torch over the patch until it sets.

This may take a few minutes depending on the strength of the beam in the light/torch.
